Q         Do Children’s Network teachers have formal training?

A         All Children’s Network staff meets and often exceeds the necessary
qualifications required for licensed child care centers.  We support our

experiences.  We provide many opportunities for our teachers to share
ideas and grow professionally through in-house workshops.

A      At Children’s Network, we treat our employees with the utmost respect
that they deserve.   Consequently our staff retention is very high!
However, when we do hire new employees, we follow a careful screening

Q      Will my child get a balanced diet at Children’s Network?

A      Children’s Network takes pride in providing children with nutritious, well
balanced, “home-cooked” meals.  The meals are prepared in our center
and  consist of a morning snack, followed by a nutritious cooked lunch
with fruit, followed by an afternoon snack.  Milk or juice beverages
are provided with every meal and snack.

Q      How will you discipline my child?

A      Our approach to conflict resolution is to encourage negotiation andproblem solving.   A child is to be responsible for his or her own behavior, learning to have self-control as he or she interacts with others.  We ensure health and safety, encourage respect for others, and respect for property.  When in appropriate behavior occurs, it is corrected through explanation, redirection and diversionary techniques.  We strive to encourage appropriate behavior through positive reinforcement.  Discipline is carried out in a positive non-threatening manner that is appropriate to the child’s level of development. Spanking and other forms of corporal punishment are not permitted under any circumstances!

Q      How will I know how my child is doing?

A     Children’s Network firmly believe that communication is the key to quality child care.   We take great care in guaranteeing effective parent/teacher conferences.  Our Center Director and teachers are never too busy to listen or offer friendly advice.   Children’s Network OPEN DOOR POLICY welcomes visits from parents and family  members.  Throughout the year, we have many special events for our families, some of  which may include Parent/Teacher evenings, “Grandparent” and “Special Friends” Day, pancake  breakfasts, muffin mornings,  family barbeques and graduation ceremonies.   These special events provide an excellent opportunity for parents to explore Children’s Network and meet other families.
